SiloTreat Stone BE
Description
SiloTreat® Stone BE is designed for surface water repellency and self-cleaning effect on natural stone materials (limestone, marble, sandstone, granite, tuff, gabbro, breccia, and others).SiloTreat® Stone BE imparts hydrophobic and oleophobic qualities to surfaces, preventing water penetration, contamination, initial forms of erosion, and the development of mold and moss. The surface water repellent maintains the "breathable" ability of the treated material without altering its color and appearance.
For complete protection of porous natural stone materials, use in combination with the deep water repellent SiloTreat Stone S+.
Areas of application
- Facade cladding made of natural stone
- Polished interior surfaces made of natural stone (floors, walls, kitchen and bar countertops, countertops in public facilities, bathroom cladding)
- Exterior paving made of natural stone (pavements, verandas, terraces, staircases, squares)
- Cultural monuments
Application method
Impregnation of porous stones:

- SiloTreat® Stone BE is applied using airless spray guns (HVLP).
- Apply the product continuously in successive horizontal lines from bottom to top without overlapping.
- Remove drips as quickly as possible using a paintbrush.
- The product must be protected for at least 4 hours before coming into contact with liquids.
- Repeat treatment would enhance the self-cleaning effect, especially on facades.
- The hydrophobic effect appears up to 4 hours after treating the surface.
Impregnation of polished stones:

- Evenly apply a thin layer of SiloTreat® Stone BE on the polished stone (marble, granite, quartz, engineered stone, etc.).
- Wait for about 30 seconds, then quickly and evenly polish the entire surface with a paper towel.
- After polishing, any remaining product traces are completely removed by re-polishing with a new, clean paper towel.
- The product must be protected for at least 60 minutes before coming into contact with liquids.
Consumption
- Porous natural stone
- 50 - 200 ml./m2*
- Polished natural stone
- 30 - 50 ml./m2*
*Average consumption rate - the indicated quantities are indicative, as the consumption rate for each specific application depends on the absorption capacity of the surface.
